About the Exhibition
Dream Eater 食夢虫 was a collaborative exhibition by three artists, combining sound installation, video projection, color monitor works, photography, graphic scores, and visual installation. Shih-Lin Hung contributed the sound component of the exhibition, including soundscapes and electroacoustic materials.
Exhibition Statement
At night, order dissolves and the body drifts between wakefulness and sleep.
A murmuring insect settles in the ear, restless and unrelenting.
When dreams arrive, it transforms into shifting weather and fleeting memories,
quietly enveloping the body in an intimate embrace.
Upon waking, the insect reveals itself as the self.
Body, dream, and consciousness merge into a continuous pulse.
To consume the night’s dreams is to allow transformation, to sense the faint
rhythm that remains, the heart of the insect.
